Radiation Therapy Head:
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employees engaged in providing radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by Radiologist according to established practices and standards. Studies schedules and estimates time for services, and/or completion of job assignments. Demonstrates new techniques, equipment, and procedures to staff. Implements and monitors radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff and compliance with government regulatory requirements. Typically requires specialized certification.

Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet schedules. Analyzes department budget to identify budget needs and/or reductions, and may allocate operating budgets funds. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces safety regulations. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems. Acts a liaison with physicist and supportive care personnel. May assist in dosimetry procedures and tumor localization.
