Provides executive leadership over operations of two or more ancillary service departments in a hospital to include respiratory services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy services.
Plans, organizes and directs operations of two or more ancillary services departments. Serves as an administrative liaison to clinical divisions and departments. Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates outcomes of the Ancillary Services Department’s strategic plans. Develops strategic initiatives and transforms initiatives into action plans. Communicates key information to the stakeholders of assigned service areas relative to managed care, marketplace needs, the competitive environment, cost management, and customer-focused services. Develops and fosters effective collaboration between departments and other affiliated services to ensure integrated approach to providing services. Develops new strategies to enhance service and improve overall performance. Develops and maintains administrative and regulatory compliance systems. Works with teams throughout the hospital, serving as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, and achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives. Reviews budgetary recommendations, manages, and monitors the Ancillary Services budget. Hires, develops and motivates a qualified Ancillary Services management staff.
