Energy Engineer:
Applies engineering technology and knowledge of the science of energy in dealing with energy efficiency, energy services, facility management, plant engineering, environmental compliance, and/or alternative energy technologies. Designs and develops buildings and systems, providing solutions to energy problems concerned with power and machinery, electrical systems, structure, HVAC systems, lighting, refrigeration, air quality, or energy procurement to both reduce energy loads and increase efficiency of current systems.
Performs site-specific engineering analysis and evaluation of energy efficiency and energy-related projects and programs as they pertain to conversion, production, transfer, distribution, and use of energy. Designs and develops programs to reduce energy costs or improve energy efficiency for residential, commercial, or industrial end-use customers.
