Determines most suitable method of administering inhalants, precautions to be observed, and modifications which may be needed that will be compatible with physician's orders. Completion of a two year accredited entry-level respiratory therapy program and certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care are requirements for this position. Uses equipment such as ventilators to support respiration and maintain patient’s oxygen supply.
