Alternative Career Review
Explore An Alternative Career
Your Skills Can Be Used in Other Jobs

Using PAQ's updated edition of US DOT's Guide for Occupational Exploration, this report provides information about the interests, aptitudes, adaptability, and other requisites of an occupational group. The Report identifies jobs where typical job incumbents report similar skills, interests, and job content characteristics as to those found in your stated area of interest and/or past or present work history. This report also includes a listing of potential employers and contact names for organizations within a user's selected area of interests.
Alternative Jobs
The GOE and this Report are designed for use in self-assessment and counselor-assisted settings to help users understand themselves realistically in regard to their ability to meet job requirements. Alternative jobs are derived from PAQ's eDOT. Job statistics, by area and industry, are provided by ERI's Job Availability Survey. This Report may be purchased singly, or as a bonus attachment to any Premium Salary Report. Only one Bonus Report is available for each Premium Salary Report purchased. Should you wish to select a different Report, please click on one of the alternative report titles below:
Allow time for the PAQ fileservers to search the over 100,000 job titles found in the PAQ eDOT Skills Project, check the ERI Job Availability Survey made available by ERI Economic Research Institute, and retrieve a list of available potential employers (derived from US Government reporting and leased datasets). Again, this is the most robust of the bonus reports with the consequence that it will require the most retrieval time. Some data may be aged and organizations may have moved or been changed in some way. All employers and data need to be checked for reasonableness by a user.
If you wish to purchase only this Report (and bypass the purchase of a Premium Salary Report), click on the Purchase Report button below. An Alternative Careers Report will be created and a charge of $29 will accrue. (Purchasers of a Premium Salary Report have a $29, session specific credit, already established. Premium Salary Report purchasers will receive this bonus report free of charge if accessed during this session.)
