Makes recommendations concerning organizational structure to avoid duplication or overlapping functions. Excludes paraprofessional positions. Administrates new methods and procedures, which may involve training employees on changes. Develops recommendations concerning which equipment and business machines should be purchased. Prepares charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and utilization. Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed involved in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other employee operations to establish standard production rate and to improve efficiency. Observes employee performing tasks to determine time involved and fatigue rate. May use stop watch, video camera, electrical recorder, and similar equipment.
