Job Description: Supervises activities related to quality control including staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning or administers an organization's total quality management (TQM) program. Organizes and coordinates various sections of organization related to product quality. Plans and establishes schedules and follows up performance against estimates. The administrator and supervisor are both responsible for administering, planning, and providing support of the company's total quality management program. : Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary to assure high quality of product or service. Assembles cost control and statistical data. Develops approaches for ensuring output of high quality product or service. Communicates TQM programs to employees and coordinates training of employees in TQM. Administers rewards programs that support TQM. Approves process specification and design standards. Prepares and controls departmental annual budget. Administers personnel functions, including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel.
