Job Description:
Directs and coordinates activities in a kidney dialysis unit. Assigns duties to dialysis technicians and coordinates outpatient and inpatient treatment involving setting up and operating equipment to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure. Evaluates activities to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service. Observes treatment to ensure that treatment is carried out as directed, and treatment administered in accordance with physician's instructions.: Directs preparation and maintenance of patients' records. Inspects facilities for cleanliness and comfort. Keeps informed of special orders concerning patients. Participates in orientation and training of personnel. Ensures treatment work in concert with mental health professionals to include both the patient and their families.
