Job Description
Ensures the reliability and integrity of the electric transmission system by coordinating maintenance and construction activities, optimizing outage schedules, and adhering to regulatory and safety standards. Supervises a team responsible for the safe and economic management of the electric transmission grid. Evaluates and processes outage requests, tracks capital project movements, and identifies power system changes. Conducts contingency analysis studies to... identify operating concerns and develops final schedules for maintenance activities. Analyzes load forecasts, generation resource adequacy, and schedules outages to ensure grid reliability. Confirms compliance with outage coordination requirements and coordinates operating activities with other transmission entities. Develops action solutions to meet industry guidelines. Plans and schedules outages for maintenance and construction activities. Utilizes Energy Management System (EMS) software applications. Provides technical advice related to power system operations. Represents the outage team in meetings related to capital construction projects. Monitors and reports planned outage performance metrics. Participates in emergency response efforts.
