Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats variety of diseases, illnesses, and injuries to hospitalized patients. Determines whether or not a patient needs to be admitted, upon discussion with Emergency Room Physicians, taking detailed history. Oversees and coordinates every aspect of patient care while in the hospital, in place of their normal Primary Care Physician, until the patient is discharged. Evaluates patient, performing examinations to determine degree of illness or injury. Works closely with Medical Assistants, Nurses, Physicians, and others involved with in-patient care.
