Job Description
Manages various engineering activities that focus on building and maintaining the municipal infrastructure. Collaborates with city officials and urban planners to identify infrastructure improvements. Develops detailed engineering drawings and designs and plans public works projects for roads, bridges, sidewalks, utilities, parks, and public buildings. Recommends engineering solutions that enhance transportation, water supply and management, waste management, and other infrastructure systems.... Prepares and monitors the engineering department’s budget, expenditures, and allocation of resources to meet project requirements. Executes field inspections of built structures to control engineering quality and ensure engineering plans and specifications are constructed to specifications. Assures that projects remain in compliance with engineering regulations. Resolves engineering and construction project issues and discrepancies. Conducts presentations to gather feedback, provide updates, and address questions from the public regarding engineering projects.
