Job Description:

Directs and controls activities, either directly or through subordinates, concerned with contracts for government sales of equipment, materials, products, or services. Negotiates contracts with government. Reviews and authorizes bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required. Holds position of the highest government sales executive. Requests or approves amendments to or extensions of contracts. Advises planning and production departments of contractual rights and obligations. Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy. Plans, develops, establishes, and implements policies and procedures in accordance with objectives of organization. May act as liaison between company and subcontractors. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. Less
