Job Description:

Plans, develops, and establishes programs, policies, and objectives of outside advertising sales function in accordance with strategic objectives of organization. Confers with organization officials to plan outside advertising sales objectives, to develop outside advertising sales policies, and to coordinate functions. Identifies new business opportunities, meets with decision makers to analyze their advertising needs, and assures their advertising needs are fulfilled. Assists organization and its Advertising Sales Managers and Account Managers in addressing more new outside advertising business opportunities through contributing towards managing customer bases, generating new advertising sales opportunities in the form of qualified leads and appointments, and by closing relevant business. Initiates and develops advertising sales leads for the sales team, in line with company guidelines, developing prospects, marketing and mailing follow-ups, referrals from existing customers and other sources, and other company databases. Tracks a variety of data to accurately forecast advertising buying trends and motives a well as analyzing competitors, markets, and service levels. Devises advertising sales strategies and promotions to obtain maximum sales volume. Directs all outside advertising sales personnel. Directs preparation of reports. Interprets and enforces company policy and practices. Ensures the adequacy of training programs. Ensures the company advertising sales database is continually updated with changes and additional information. Provides bid support to the sales team to include proposal and quote production, along with RFI and tender response assistance and support.
