Job Description:

Develops, leads and, manages organization-wide strategies for occupational health and safety, workplace wellness, integrated disability, and workers compensation claims management. Manages EPA, OSHA, and other relevant program compliance. Provides leadership to identify and minimize environmental health and safety risks. Develops and implements environmental health and safety training and effective health and safety programs. Conducts audits of entire facility to ensure strict compliance to safety and environmental regulations. Maintains inventory and controls distribution of safety supplies. Conducts regular fire extinguisher and eye wash station checks. Provides emergency response to problems in facility including first aid, security, safety-related complaints, or inspections. Acts as primary contact for Department of Labor and Industries safety-related complaints and/or inspections. Manages all aspects or workers compensation programs including maintaining accurate occupational and nonoccupational treatment records. Facilitates alternate duty/light duty/transitional work program administration and timely return to work by working closely with treating physician. Plans and conducts ongoing training and supervision for all facility emergency response teams. Facilitates safety committee meeting to assure safety and health programs are followed and to maintain safe working conditions.
