Job Description:

Directs, supervises, and oversees the planning, administration, staffing, operations, and finances of a major project. Ensures that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Monitors and assumes responsibility for the overall quality and management of the project. Develops and implements strategic objectives for the project and mitigates any risk. Reviews proposals to determine goals, timelines, costs, funding, and staffing requirements. Ensures that quality assurance procedures take place. Develops, implements, and maintains sound business practices. Oversees budget and ensures financial accountability. Reports profit and loss figures. Analyzes and forecasts profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization. Develops and meets revenue and other financial goals. Recognizes and solves potential problems and evaluates project effectiveness. Manages the negotiation of contract pricing when necessary. Reviews status reports of Project Managers and Senior Managers and addresses issues as appropriate. Provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of the sales cycle, if applicable. Monitors the identification and development of strategic accounts. Manages business development on a strategic level. Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalizes on partnership opportunities. Lends expertise to internal teams and task forces. Establishes operating procedures for project and ensures procedures meet program goals. Enforces standard policies and procedures. Conducts research and writes reports. May promote the project through speaking engagements at industry conferences and involvement in local business organizations. May network with local, State, and National agencies for future program development. May research grant funding sources. May hire personnel for project implementation. Less
