Job Description:

Serves as the liaison between the business and the IT Department to define and establish service and support requirements as well as facilitate and improve the effectiveness of communication. Understands the business, assists in the prioritization of projects, ensures that projects align with the technology that best provides maximum return on investment, and directs IT strategy in support of the overall business strategy. Establishes, manages, and maintains strategic relationships with internal customers in one or more departments. Identifies and recommends opportunities to use technology to impact business unit strategy and performance and improve operational efficiency. Facilitates a continuous planning process. Elicits end-user requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis. Advocates for technology needs of the business units. Collaborates with business area teams to understand project requirements, shape the initial project request, and provide a high-level estimate of the project effort and costs used in cost-benefit analysis. Provides information to IT about customer plans, opportunities, and needs. Interfaces with internal technology teams and external technology vendors. Identifies new product and service offerings and analyzes potential solutions to estimate value to the organization and return on investment (ROI). Collaborates with Project Managers to discuss staffing needs, high-level timelines, and the associated cost. Communicates technology strategy, plans, and status to the business community. Manages customer plans and expectations. Negotiates Service Level Agreements (SLA). Coordinates overall solution design and delivery and reports on the status of projects, resolving any project issues. Evaluates project objectives and advises on project prioritization. Participates in the development of long-range technology strategies and directs projects towards desired technology strategies. Analyzes and advises on new business initiatives.
