Job Description:

Assures the streamlined operation of the Materials Management Department and that it aligns with the business objectives of the overall organization. Collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer in providing strategic and operational direction for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining the department, including purchasing, supplies, and distribution. Plans and directs all aspects of an organization's materials management policies, objectives, and initiatives. Oversees and directs the purchase of raw materials, supplies, and equipment. Directs warehousing and distribution channels and ensures material needs are met throughout the product creation process. Establishes performance standards and evaluates performance of materials management leadership. Provides leadership to create a systems-driven materials organization and foster continuous improvement of all metrics. Manages all aspects of SIOP, purchasing, production planning, scheduling, production control, warehousing, inventory management, shipping, capacity planning, material yield analysis, and month-end materials reporting. Develops and performs Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and implements all systems and processes required to meet business aim. Interfaces with customers directly through Business Line Management and proactively manages suppliers to avoid delivery and quality issues.
