Job Description:

Manages the debt position for assigned customer accounts. Operates all established collection procedures to achieve targeted results while promoting customer good will. Ensures the timely collection of outstanding monies in accordance with policies and procedures. Contacts customers regarding all unpaid items and follows up on communications frequently. Identifies accounts that require special attention and resolves difficulties, consulting management and escalating where appropriate. Maintains accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records. Develops and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with all external and internal customers to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolution of customer queries. Obtains sufficient information to assess the credit-worthiness of newly proposed and existing customers and ensures that all clients meet the organization's requirements. Promotes and develops the involvement of the Credit Control Department in sales and marketing activities. Investigates and reconciles customer accounts using weekly and monthly reports. Inputs daily cash received, ensuring all systems accurately reflect the financial position of the relevant accounts.
