Job Description:

Greets and receives guests at establishment, ascertains nature of business, and guides guests to destination. Answers inquiries pertaining to establishments services; registration of guests; and maintain an in-depth knowledge of local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Keeps records of room assignments, guest’s accounts, and other registration information. Issues room key. Prepares and explains charges at time of check out and processes payment. Date-stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages. Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and takes messages as needed. May type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents. May issue escort instructions to bellhop and other employees. May post charges, such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger. Makes and confirms restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation, and arrange for tours. May deposit guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box. May order complimentary flowers or champagne for guests. Arrange for, suggest, recommend, book, and confirm deliverable services. Maintains reception area in neat and orderly condition. May issue visitor's pass when required. Ensures prompt and positive action on guest’s complaints, questions, concerns and suggestions.
