Job Description:

Consults with client or department heads to ascertain and define need or problem area, conducts research, and conducts studies and surveys to obtain data to determine scope of investigation required to obtain solution. Analyzes problems to advise on or recommend solutions, utilizing knowledge of insurance policies, finance, banking, etc. Sells insurance policies and provides customer service. Verifies and analyzes client information. Analyzes data to determine solutions, such as changes to existing insurance or addition of new insurance policy. Advises client or department heads on alternate methods of solving need or problem, or recommends specific solution. Oversees collection of vendor information and/or information from clients for renewal marketing purposes. Reviews summary plan descriptions, documents, and information requests from clients. Advises clients on the impact of current issues and regulatory activities. Documents details of interactions with clients. May negotiate contract for consulting service. May assist with the creation and implementation of marketing programs. May coordinate employee enrollment meetings, including preparation of announcement materials and presenting plan benefits to employees in enrollment meetings.
