Job Description:

Utilizes tools and machines to assemble parts and fabricate products. Reads and follows a bill of materials. Handles and manipulates small parts. Ensures that parts and finished products pass quality control checks. Completes all documentation associated with equipment being operated. Accepts production plan passed from previous shift and strives to achieve established quality and productivity goals. Collaborates with Supervisors, Engineers, and Process Engineers to improve procedures, processes, and training methods. Assists with the development of training aids to improve processes, quality, and reduce cycle time. Wears proper personal protective equipment to conform to the established safety standards of the tasks as prescribed or directed. Communicates hazards associated with the equipment to those working near the machines that may be filling a support role and ensures they too wear proper personal protective equipment. Attends formal training sessions as necessary to elevate skill level and productivity. May train and/or operate on more than one machine. May provide assembly support to other existing work cells. May read blueprints, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and other technical and non-technical documents to effectively perform work assigned. May work on a conveyor belt line. Less
