Job Description:

Arranges accommodations and other travel services for customers. Converses with customer to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required. Computes cost of travel and accommodations, or quotes package tours' costs. Books transportation and hotel reservations. Supplies transportation carrier tickets. Collects payment for travel arrangement fees, transportation and accommodations from customer. Sells tour packages and promotional travel incentives offered by various travel carriers. Plans itineraries and arranges accommodations and other travel services for customers. Provides customer with travel information, such as local customs, points of interest, and special events occurring in various locations, or foreign country regulations, such as consular requirements and currency limitations. Prints or requests transportation carrier tickets. Plans, describes, arranges, and sells itinerary tour packages and promotional travel incentives offered by various travel carriers, utilizing knowledge of available travel services and promotional techniques. Provides information about international travel, such as customs regulations and currency rates and required papers such as passports, visas, and certificates of vaccination. May specialize in foreign or domestic travel, individual or group travel, specific geographic area, airplane charters, or package tours. May visit hotels, resorts, restaurants, etc., to help make recommendations to clients. May be located in transportation terminal and specialize in group and individual escorted tours.
