Job Description:

Assists the Training Manager in preparing, organizing, and providing standard training, specialized training, technical training, or counseling in designated areas, including preparing new employees for their jobs. Gives clerical/administrative support to the training and development function of an organization, including writing correspondence and making copies. Arranges schedules, keeps the master schedule of training programs and courses maintained, and fixes scheduling conflicts. Prepares training documentation, such as training manuals, notes, questionnaires, and other support materials. Distributes course catalogs, processes registration, and answers routine inquiries regarding courses and schedules. Obtains, assembles, and distributes course materials and teaching aides as required for each type of program. Coordinates and arranges for the use of audio visual and other necessary equipment, finds and arranges for appropriate space and facilities for training, makes catering arrangements for meals and refreshments, and ensures housekeeping, maintenance, and repairs are taken care of. Sends training notifications to participants, informing them about training demands and other important aspects. Prepares appropriate forms, correspondence, memoranda, and records regarding course attendance, feedback on programs, instructors, etc. Keeps records about each training course, and prepares reports and statistical summaries. Prepares and distributes training certificates for participants or attendees when appropriate. Maintains and may reorder training material, teaching aides, and information on outside programs.
