Job Description:

Manages the Teller Department of a financial institution, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed. Promotes financial institution and ensures compliance with all local, State, and Federal statutory regulations. Responds to requests for assistance to staff and handles the more difficult customer inquiries and situations. Mentors and coaches Teller Supervisors and staff to ensure that customer service is at optimal levels and that branch goals are met. Provides suggestions and recommendations in the recruitment, hiring, and termination of branch associates. Provides training opportunities for associates to enhance career development and recommend promotions or other change in status. Promotes financial institution products and services through referring, selling, and answering routine inquiries. Identifies referral opportunities, completes required documentation for tracking purposes and follow-up and directs customers to bank representatives. Uses discretion and independent judgment when approving transactions while ensuring the financial institution's policies and security procedures are being followed. Completes all necessary compliance reports and monthly reports while ensuring accuracy and thoroughness. Balances branch daily and resolves out-of-balance situations promptly. Ensures that adequate staff is scheduled to meet appropriate business levels, and oversees that customers are serviced quickly and efficiently and that all standards are met. Ensures that associates are properly trained.
