Job Description:

Plans, implements, administers, and optimizes company servers and network infrastructures to achieve high performance of the various supported business applications. Acquires, configures, and maintains servers for development work, internal and customer testing, and production environments. Maintains software updates, designs and implements new system structures, and tracks and monitors server usage and up-time. Ensures the availability of client/server applications, configures all new implementations, and develops processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment. Performs software upgrades, maintains computer hardware, improves efficiency by evaluating system network functions, and identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities. Audits server security, and assist in overseeing the physical security, integrity, and safety of the server and network infrastructures. Designs, implements, and maintains a constant backup and disaster recovery plan. Troubleshoots and provides technical direction for problems that arise. Interfaces with vendors to obtain required equipment and software in a timely manner while ensuring proper audit and budget controls are met. Less
