Job Description:

Leads, plans, coordinates, trains, and participates in the work assignments of the security staff to ensure the safety and security of the organization's facilities and staff. Assists the Manager in all phases of the supervisory role. Exercises functional and technical supervision and may exercise direct supervision over lower staff members. Supervises, assigns, and oversees work related duties and responsibilities necessary to maintain the safety and security of the facilities and staff. Schedules Security Aides and Guards for all organization work sites. Coordinates with the divisions to schedule security coverage for meetings and events which take place before or after the regular work day. Trains all security staff. Manages, schedules, and coordinates routine maintenance for vehicle fleet and ensures adequate vehicle availability. Coordinates and implements the placement and supervision of automated access systems throughout facilities. Operates, coordinates, and maintains installed systems and security surveillance. Assists management in the development and implementation of safety policies and practices. Assists manager with the preparation and supervision of contracts with companies responsible for security at facilities. Coordinates and supervises the maintenance and repair of installed alarm systems. Participates in Emergency Disaster Planning and Incident Command. Coordinates and supervises various contractors such as locksmiths, door repair, and sign companies as needed. Trains staff on security policies and procedures. Coordinates with organization management to develop, implement, and supervise a security plan for the organization in accordance with Federal and State regulations. Interprets and applies Federal, State, and local policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. Administers procedures related to safety and security.
