Job Description:

Designs, installs, tests, implements, and maintains Microsoft Windows servers and software configurations. Leads configuration, tuning, automation, standards adherence, and enforcement processes to maximize performance and availability of applications, systems, and data. Administers the Microsoft Windows servers and software configurations as required for proper operation of complex, multi-platform systems. Monitors, analyzes, and makes recommendations to improve system and software performance and ensure reliability and efficiency. Consults with user groups and client organizations on strategies for the implementation of new technology. Participates in planning and implementation of both upgrades and new installations of hardware and software. Researches, tests, and evaluates new systems, software, utilities, and devices. Identifies problems, troubleshoots, provides support, and resolves problems for systems software and hardware in order to ensure minimal service disruptions. Participates in new technology hardware and software vendor selection. May coordinate basic user administration (adds, changes, deletes, back-ups, and file restores) in one or more operating environments.
