Job Description:

Manages employees and contractors engaged in the operation and maintenance of electric or gas facilities and related equipment. Oversees the safe, reliable, and diligent operation and maintenance of assigned facilities. Manages the human, physical, and monetary resources required to meet customer needs and maximize business, including receiving, processing, transporting, and delivering the required daily volumes of electricity or gas consistent with system demands and customer allocation rates using planned resources. Oversees assigned employee's cost expenditures to meet capital and operations and maintenance budget requirements and ensures compliance with spending policies. Performs administrative activities for the effective management of the department, including employee safety, selection and development of employees, salary administration, budget administration, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, measuring, and reporting the work performed within the department. Ensures compliance with safety and environmental rules and company policies, procedures, and standards. Establishes required training and staffing changes to meet changing safety, environmental, and government regulations, technology, and operations requirements.
