Job Description:

Directs and oversees the organization’s sustainability program. Develops, implements, and administers the organization’s sustainability policy and management system. Oversees and coordinates the organization’s environmental programs, providing cost-effective resources and environmental controls. Leads the process of developing plans, objectives, and strategies for protecting the environment and helping the organization to benefit from doing so. Monitors, analyzes, and communicates developments in industry standards and in pertinent local, State, Federal, and global legislations. Fosters a set of environmental programs which may include programs regarding climate change, carbon emissions, recycling, pollution, natural resource conservation, and/or energy use. Manages the monitoring and reporting components related to energy management, recycling, and projects which include programs that reduce and assess consumption patterns, calculations, and cost benefits analyses. Develops and proposes energy-related initiatives such as fuel and electrical usage, lighting initiatives, solar panel installations, and green initiatives. Coordinates initiatives across various functional areas, such as maintenance, operations, and renovations. Oversees research and analysis of energy usage trends and projections associated with energy consumption statistics.
