Job Description:

Manages and coordinates activities of employees on the casino floor. Views operations, regularly circulating among tables. Arbitrates the rules of the games overseen. Oversees game operations to ensure that house rules are followed and that safety and State, Federal, and tribal (if relevant) regulations are adhered to. Oversees the bets in play at the tables while noting and managing the movement of chips into the gaming area and cash boxes going out. Assigns tasks to dealers and employees on the casino floor. Requires knowledge of the games and a gaming license. Schedules employees’ work hours, breaks, and time off. Watches the games, making certain that the games run smoothly. Monitors and manages problem guests. Denies players access to the gaming tables if they are under the influence of alcohol or are unruly, harass, or cheat. Fields and settles disputes and complaints at the gaming tables between dealers and customers, viewing video of the situation if necessary. Oversees the solutions to problems, watching over corrections of mistakes made by dealers. Monitors accuracy of all chip and cash transactions, protecting the casino's assets from theft by employees and players on the floor. Reports to management throughout the shift on the winning and losing at each table. Accounts for all money exchanging hands. Observes counting of chips for table accounting, and watches when cash is removed from tables and when new chips are brought in. Provides employees with training and performance appraisals. Interacts with customers playing at the tables to ensure a pleasurable experience. Represents the casino to customers, and plays a large role in how the business is perceived by casino patrons.
