Job Description:

Leads equipment engineering activities within an organization. Oversees and directs the design, development, analysis, and testing required for equipment engineering research study, proposal, or program. Directs the design, commissioning, and qualification of equipment installations by direct participation and providing guidance to less experienced engineers. Ensures all equipment engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and objectives. Interfaces extensively with other functions on project team such as Process Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, EIT Management, etc. Ensures the creation of innovative design strategies and directs the development of new equipment and systems. Oversees the integrity and quality of all designs. Manages the allocation and assignment of personnel to equipment engineering projects, prioritizes the tasks as required, and defines responsibilities to accomplish work activities. Monitors projects continuously to initiate corrective action as required, ensuring timely completion and cost effective results within planned budgets. Serves as point of contact for assigned programs for customers, contract administrators, marketing, etc. Trains, develops, and motivates subordinates through effective work assignments, training programs, and other related activities.
