Job Description:

Designs, develops, and implements the data architecture for a data warehouse, including high-performance ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) tools and routines and the infrastructure. Develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery, and identifies strategic opportunities to keep organization poised as an industry leader, understanding both logical and physical data warehouse architecture. Defines and delivers data solutions in complex environments, including complex application integration solutions. Designs, constructs, and provides high-performance, scalable data, and system management application and tools to assist in the upgrade, management, and optimization of data systems. Integrates new data, technologies, and platforms with and into existing or newer warehouse platforms, structures, and environments as technologies evolve and demands change, continuously improving system functionality. Liaises between IT and business units, and provides development expertise and coaching to the development team. Interacts with business representatives, business analysts, developers, quality assurance testers, and infrastructure teams. Leads in architecting and developing the data warehouse, defines development standards, and leads code reviews and architecture review meetings. Provides support and troubleshooting for engagement scoping, defines the deliverable approach, and works closely with project managers to define deliverable scope. Probes, diagnoses, and provides designs and implementation approaches for business problems. Provides technical and delivery oversight across multiple projects. Assesses data extraction, report generation, and bugs appearing in operations involving the data warehouse. Analyzes business intelligence data and provides reports, ensuring data accuracy. Provides technical leadership across cross-functional teams and guidance, coaching, and leadership to junior developers and architects. Establishes and maintains technical and strategic relationships with various business teams. Creates and maintains documentation, and defines department best practices in support of proper change management, security, and operational requirements. Utilizes proficient skill with data warehouse design and optimization, working on parallel database platforms, using business intelligence tools, as well as in-memory databases.
