Job Description:

Plans, directs, and oversees the goals, policies, activities, and operations of the Facilities Services Division including grounds maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, painting, plastering, engineering, facility construction and renovation, and machine and electrical servicing. Coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies. Develops, plans, implements, and administers division goals and budget; and monitors budget to control expenditures to properly administer division's budget. Directs and oversees implementation of the division work plan, assigned work, activities, and projects. Follows up on all maintenance services, requests, and repairs pertaining to buildings and grounds; ensures coordination with concerned departments to action them without any delays; and ensure safety, security, and health measurements are in place at all times. Recommends and develops division policy and procedures. Confers with and provides leadership to division personnel. Develops or participates in writing specifications for equipment, systems, or services. Creates request for proposals and negotiate contracts and vendor proposals. Hires, trains, motivates, and evaluates management personnel; disciplines and implements corrective actions as necessary. Evaluates Facilities Services operations on an on-going basis; recommends changes to ensure efficient results. Reviews and evaluates projects in progress, contract compliance, and quality control.
