Job Description:

Manages supplier relationships as it relates to administrative and operational activities and issues, and optimizes the value in the vendor/business unit relationship. Manages all aspects of the development, negotiation, and execution of contracts with suppliers. Identifies and negotiates contract opportunities to leverage the buying power of the organization in order to lower the cost of procurement of goods and services. Identifies and understands the business's requirements and leads a strategic sourcing process of selecting the vendors that can best meet those requirements at the highest value. Ensures that contracts meet all regulations and customer needs. Negotiates contracts with suppliers, evaluates bids and proposals, and makes award decisions. Reviews and interprets vendor contracts for accuracy and completeness. Manages contracts with suppliers to ensure supplier compliance. Analyzes supplier change requests to existing contracts and approves changes or revisions. Participates on procurement sourcing teams for the research, bid, and contract management of supplies and services. Participates in strategic planning to target future cost savings with appropriate commodity. Tracks markets to anticipate customer needs, changes to those needs, and the impact to existing contracts or development of future contracts. Monitors inflation and its impact on forecasting. Evaluates supplier performance through review of reports and customer feedback. Resolves issues and implements solutions to address negative supplier performance. Liaises between organization and subcontractors to implement fulfillment of contracts. Facilitates the resolution of disputes with suppliers to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. Coordinates the integration of new suppliers into the procurement system. Creates and reviews reports showing status of contract activity. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws.
