Job Description:

Oversees, plans, and directs the operational, clinical, and financial performance of a cardiac treatment center. Plans, implements, markets, and evaluates Cardiology Services to ensure optimal delivery of cardiac care and services to patients. This is an administrative management position and does not require licensure as a Medical Doctor although related clinical background may be required. Typically requires an advanced degree, clinical background in a related discipline, and five years of experience as a clinical practitioner or supervisor. Develops and implements policies and procedures. Works to continually improve services, provide consistent application of services, and create an environment that provides professional development and financial viability. Plans and directs cardiac treatment center operations to ensure facility performance and quality of care. Manages the cardiology staff and implements strategies relative to the improvement of cardiology care. Serves as a liaison between Physicians and affiliated health care management to coordinate effective treatment programs. Oversees hiring, developing, and managing a qualified staff concerned with providing quality care to patients. Monitors effectiveness of management practices and productivity indicators using turnover rates, absenteeism, budget variance, patient, MD, and staff satisfaction surveys.
