Job Description:

Sells beverages, such as soda, flavored water, juice, beer, and wine, to new or existing customers, such as brokers, taverns, restaurants, cocktail lounges, and supermarkets, in assigned area or territory. Services and increases business on existing accounts, and creates prospect list and gets new accounts. Calls on and interacts directly with new and existing wholesale customers to explain features and merits of products offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques. Describes and provides samples of available beverages, and emphasizes the best saleable features. Answers all questions concerning products, with appropriate referrals where required. Calculates and quotes prices. Analyzes and determines customers’ needs and recommends appropriate products to meet those needs. Prepares forms or agreements, closes transactions, and secures orders. Establishes professional customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel. Submits time and expense reports to management. Investigates product warranty claims to ensure resolution within organization policies. Analyzes and interprets records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management. Keeps informed of new products and product changes that might affect product sales. Keeps informed of company contract procedures and product prices.
