Job Description:

Performs a combination of supervised, progressively more complex and independent patient evaluation, management and research activities in a specialized field of medicine. Requires completion of medical school as a Medical Doctor, completion of internship, and completion of the first year resident program. Maintains required certification and licensure as required by the program. Takes medical history of patient and makes physical assessment of patient's condition. Makes notations regarding medical treatment in the patient's medical record. Administers prescribed medications and medical treatments in accordance with approved medical techniques. Applies cost containment measures in the provision of patient care. Participates in the educational activities of the training program and may assume responsibility for teaching and supervising other residents, interns and students.
