Job Description:

Directs and organizes the overall public relations activities of the organization. Designs and heads the development and communication of information designed to keep the public informed of employer's programs, accomplishments, or point of view. Plans and develops public relations internal and external programs and policies, maintaining employee, public, and shareholder interest and acceptance. Advises management of public relations implications of organization policies. Participates in preparation of news releases, publications, and the annual report. Works with the Top Public Relations Officer setting and promoting the short- and long-term strategic objectives while providing the management necessary to achieve profits, growth, or other goals of the organization. Assists in identifying the strategic objectives for public relations and communicates those objectives to subordinate management. Ensures effective and accurate communications between the organization and the public. Represents the organization in various community and related industry organizations. Maintains an environment in which manpower training, turnover, compensation, and growth adequately match the organization's needs.
