Marks and attaches price tickets to articles of merchandise to record price and identifying information, when computer scanning equipment is not utilized. When computer scanning equipment is available, marks sales prices on bar tags, shelves, or displays indicating revised price for merchandise. Marks selling price by hand on boxes containing merchandise, or on price tickets. Attaches bar code or price ticket to each article. May attach original bar code tags at source of shipment for merchandise. May record number and types of articles marked and pack them in boxes. May compare bar code with entries on purchase order to verify accuracy and notify supervisor of discrepancies. Less
