Job Description:

Plans, develops, and establishes programs, policies, and objectives of internal sales function in accordance with strategic objectives of organization. Confers with organization officials to plan internal sales objectives, to develop internal sales policies, and to coordinate functions. Identifies new business opportunities, meets with decision makers to analyze their needs, and identifies areas to provide value-added service improvements. Assists organization and its New Business Sales Managers and Account Managers in addressing more new business opportunities through contributing towards managing installed/prospective customer bases, generating new sales opportunities in the form of qualified leads and appointments, and by closing relevant business. Initiates and develops sales leads for the sales team, in line with company guidelines, to be attained from existing database, developed prospects, marketing and mailing follow-ups, referrals from existing customers and other sources, and other company databases. Manages and accurately updates the in-house database. Develops and maintains detailed knowledge of organization and competitor products and services. Evaluates the market position of competing products, services, and organizations and their marketing and sales techniques. Devises sales strategies and promotions to obtain maximum sales volume. Directs all internal sales personnel. Directs preparation of reports. Interprets and enforces company policy and practices. Ensures the adequacy of training programs. Ensures the company sales database is continually updated with changes and additional information. Provides bid support to the sales team to include proposal and quote production, along with RFI and tender response assistance and support.
