Classifies, catalogs, stores, and retrieves documentation generated by Information Systems department personnel, under immediate supervision. Classifies and codes documents according to specified system. Assigns cross-indexing numbers if subject matter should be classified and filed under more than one heading. Places material in electronic media such as mainframe computer, CD-ROM, or in storage file cabinet, drawers, boxes, or in special filing cases. Prepares catalog of documentation. Locates and removes material from files when requested. Keeps records of material removed; traces missing materials. May revise coding system to improve code usage. May involve word processing. Less
