Job Description
Solicits freight business from industrial and commercial firms and passenger-travel business from travel agencies, schools, clubs, and other organizations. Calls on prospective customers to explain advantages of using company's transportation services. Quotes tariffs, rates, and travel schedules. Companies prefer at least a two year post secondary education in sales and marketing along with sales ability, personality, and familiarity with travel and transportation; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and sales experience combined.
