Job Description
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in preparation and layout of a technical publication and ensures the quality and timely delivery of required material. Studies materials to determine most effective form of presentation and number and type of illustrations required, in accordance with specifications and accepted standards of composition, limitations of equipment, and available funds. Activities include, but are not limited to, various media types such as desktop publishing, documentation manuals and software, electronic publishing, illustrations, marketing materials, repair guides and manuals, sales materials, software presentations, translations, users manuals, and related materials. This position typically reports to a manager and is the first level of supervision in the organization.
