Job Description
Provides law enforcement and police services to a school, school grounds, and surrounding areas, patrolling by foot and vehicle. Inquires into allegations of criminal incidents following Police Department policies and procedures, assisting with investigation. Supports and enforces State and local laws and ordinances. Recommends problem students needing to be referred to juvenile authorities or other governmental agencies. Maintains close contact with and builds positive relationships with students, attempting to prevent juvenile delinquency. Develops crime prevention programs and conducts security inspections to deter criminal or delinquent activities. Monitors crime statistics and works with local patrol officers and students together to design crime prevention strategies.
