Directs and administers a records management program and develops and implements its policies and procedures. Establishes processes for receiving, archiving, storing, and disposing of records. Assures records management activities comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements. Plans a retention schedule based on legal and business needs. Designs and maintains a filing system for managing digital and physical records. Examines records,... identifies the appropriate preservation method, and facilitates the cleaning up records and inventory auditing. Evaluates the records management program and identifies risks and areas for improvement. Creates backups of records and designs and executes a disaster recovery plan for organizational records. Oversees the transfer and destruction of confidential and sensitive information. Collaborates with the information technology department to integrate records management into business systems. Supervises and trains staff on records management policies and processes.
