Performs environmental impact assessments and ensures that land, air, marine, transit, cultural resource, water, power, oil, and gas development projects are in compliance with state environmental land use regulations and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) guidelines. Safeguards and sustains natural resources by formulating ecological land development policies that help urban and residential projects make as small of an impact on... the environment as possible. Contributes to planning proposed construction projects that balance consideration for social, economic, and environmental impact. Reviews project submissions and site plans, visits project sites, collects and analyzes environmental data, writes environmental impact statements and technical reports on potential environmental effects, and suggests project changes and approval or denial or project permits.
