Job Description
Supports the EMS Administrator in developing, putting into practice, running, managing, and evaluating the programs, policies, procedures, and activities of the EMS agency. Coordinates the professional, technical, and administrative support staff's development. Maintains program compliance, monitors state and federal rules and regulations, and offers recommendations for new legislation. Contributes to the creation and execution of directives, rules, and procedures that... are necessary to create and maintain operational guidelines for those who use the county's EMS system. Oversees and keeps an eye on the certification and training programs. Requests proposals, negotiates contracts, and oversees providers of service adherence to contracts. Provides contractors with technical, educational, and procedural support. Assists with the organization and planning of EMS activities, including lending support and resources to other county organizations in times of emergency or high-fatality situations.
