Job Description
Directs and coordinates all aspects of the process of staging a play, including casting, stage design and construction, costume design, lighting, rehearsal, preproduction, and final performance. Interprets and translates dramatic and comedic scripts or musicals, practically and creatively using artistic vision, working with the performers and producer to create a performance which connects with the audience. Collaborates with writers individually or through workshops; adapts scripts, breaks them down, analyzes and explores the content, and conducts relevant research.
