Job Description
Assists with activities of kitchen and dining-room workers during banquets to ensure that food is served promptly and guests are satisfied. Converses with manager, catering, or executive chef on such items as serving arrangements and additional employees and equipment needed. Places orders for table linen, china, glassware, and silverware, as needed. Observes food being served to ensure that food is... correctly garnished and arranged on plates. Sets up and transports designated wares, equipment, and food for banquet functions. Responds to guest inquiries about hotel services/features and local attractions/activities. Resolves guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Assists with the transportation of soiled wares, trays/carts, and table top items from the kitchen line or banquet service area to the dishwashing station or other designated area. Cleans coffee machine, sinks, counters, and surfaces in the banquet service area. Washes wares, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment, as assigned. Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. Checks the working condition of equipment and machinery and rectifies any deficiencies. Reports any damages, maintenance problems, or safety hazards to the supervisor. Adheres to all sanitation and safety regulations as required by the hotel.
