Administers and coordinates all facets of a district or school's Special Education Department's programs and services. Oversees fiscal operations such as budget planning, monitoring costs, and purchasing. Coordinates activities of the administrative staff and services, including hiring and training of personnel. Heads planning meetings that may include the development of annual benchmarks, testing and compliance goals, opening and closing classes, program development, enrollment forecasting, and compliance issues.
